The snow was exceptional, and the courses challenging; our boys enjoyed great success across all age groups and disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Redlands Cup was a spectacular start for our team, with <strong>Charlie Kovacs<\/strong> winning the event pretty much a clear 1.5 seconds ahead of the 2nd Place runner from Snowy Mountains Grammar School (SMGS) in Division 1. <strong>Nick Yates<\/strong>\u2019 solid 5th place, the A Team were awarded Team Silver, <strong>Angus Motteram<\/strong> ranked 11th, and <strong>Max L\u2019Orange <\/strong>ranked 15th. In Division 2, <strong>Ben Rose<\/strong> ranked a strong 11th and <strong>Alex Glasfurd<\/strong> 20th; Division 3 had <strong>Oli Klass<\/strong> in 6th, <strong>Jake Mears<\/strong> 12th, <strong>Hudson Williams<\/strong> 19th,\u00a0<strong>Tom Rose<\/strong> 22nd, <strong>Henry Grieve<\/strong> 23rd and <strong>Henry Clark<\/strong> 33rd; In Division 4, <strong>Theodore Karedis<\/strong> ranked a strong 6th, <strong>Adrian Zhang<\/strong> 10th, <strong>Alexander Grieve<\/strong> 21st and <strong>Jack Dreverman<\/strong> 23rd; In Division 5, <strong>Lachlan Barnes<\/strong> flying solo \u2013 18th and In Division 6, <strong>Louie Guo<\/strong> ranked 16th, well done Louie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Scots Cup<strong> <\/strong>over in Perisher, our sole competitor flying the Shore flag, <strong>Luca Ewen<\/strong>, in a wild-weathered event reduced to one run, placed a solid 6th in Division 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Day 1 of the Sydney Regionals, in Division 5 Alpine, <strong>Lachlan Barnes<\/strong> placed 10th<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 3 Snowboard GS, <strong>Josh Charlie<\/strong> and <strong>Darcy Parry Okedon<\/strong> placed 9th, and <strong>Oscar Hanson<\/strong> placed 25th as an individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 2 SB GS, <strong>Asher Shepherd<\/strong> and <strong>Cyan Couch<\/strong> came 4th!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 1 SB GS, <strong>Noah<\/strong>, <strong>George<\/strong> and <strong>Neo<\/strong> took home Team Bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 3 Snowboard Cross, <strong>Charlie Pressley<\/strong>, <strong>Oscar Hanson<\/strong> and <strong>Joshua Kingsmill<\/strong> placed 4th, about 0.5 seconds off 3rd, with <strong>Charlie Pressley <\/strong>taking home the Silver Individual!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 2 SB X, <strong>Asher Shepherd<\/strong>, <strong>Cyan Couch<\/strong> and <strong>Lachlan Boys<\/strong> also placed 4th, also a shave off 3rd!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 1 SB X, <strong>Noah Shepherd<\/strong>, <strong>George Lane<\/strong> and <strong>Neo Pressley<\/strong> took home the Team Silver, and Noah added Individual Bronze to his cabinet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Day 2, in Division 6 Ski Cross, we had two DSQ in the A Team of <strong>Justin Yang<\/strong>, <strong>Hudson Vakili<\/strong> and <strong>Luca Di Giovanni<\/strong> after missing some tricky gates. The B Team of <strong>Jasper Li <\/strong>and <strong>Louie Guo<\/strong> placed 10th, with <strong>Jasper Li<\/strong> placing 15th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lachlan Barnes<\/strong> came 8th Individual in Division 5 Ski Cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Division 4 Alpine A team of <strong>Theodore Karedis<\/strong>, <strong>Adrian Zhang<\/strong>, <strong>Callum Saurajen <\/strong>and <strong>Jack Dreverman<\/strong> won Team Bronze with Theo taking Individual Bronze<strong>.<\/strong> Our B Team of <strong>Max Madar<\/strong>, <strong>Alex Grieve<\/strong>, <strong>Louis Kennard<\/strong> and <strong>Arlo Philp<\/strong> came a solid 8th, <strong>Freddie Muldoon<\/strong> placed 41st. <strong>Thomas Rose<\/strong> 10th, <strong>Henry Grieve<\/strong> 19th and <strong>Hudson Williams<\/strong> 25th<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 2, <strong>Benjamin Rose<\/strong> 3rd yeeeew! and <strong>Lachlan Boys<\/strong> 10th<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 1, <strong>Ari Ganassin<\/strong>, 4th, <strong>Charlie Kovacs<\/strong>, 6th and <strong>Taj Robertson<\/strong> 7th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Day 3, we had a SILVER MEDAL WINNING TEAM in Division 6 Alpine &#8211; <strong>Justin Yang<\/strong>, <strong>Jasper Li<\/strong>, <strong>Hudson Vakili<\/strong> and <strong>Luca Di Giovanni<\/strong>. <strong>Louie Guo<\/strong> raced as an Individual and placed 50th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Division 5 Moguls Qualifier, <strong>Lachlan Barnes<\/strong> placed 14th, and <strong>Justin Yang<\/strong>, skiing up from Division 6, placed 28th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Division 4 Moguls Qualifier, <strong>Theodore Karedis<\/strong> placed 3rd, <strong>Adrian Zhang<\/strong> placed 11th, <strong>Alex Grieve<\/strong> 12th and <strong>Frederick Muldoon<\/strong> placed 16th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Division 4 Ski Cross A Team of <strong>Theodore Karedis<\/strong>, <strong>Adrian Zhang<\/strong> and <strong>Callum Saurajen<\/strong> smashed out TEAM SILVER, with Theodore claiming INDIVIDUAL GOLD. Our B. Team of <strong>Alex Grieve<\/strong>, <strong>Louis Kennard<\/strong> and <strong>Jack Dreverman<\/strong> placed 15th, and <strong>Arlo Philp<\/strong> placed 74th in a huge field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Division 3 Ski Cross, the A Team of <strong>Oli Klaas<\/strong>, <strong>Archer Bailey<\/strong> and <strong>Jake Mears<\/strong> placed 7th, the B Team of <strong>Tom Rose<\/strong>, <strong>Sam Diddams<\/strong> and <strong>Henry Dockrill<\/strong> placed 12th, our C Team of <strong>Henry Grieve<\/strong>, <strong>Hudson Williams<\/strong> and <strong>Henry Clark<\/strong> placed 18th, and our D Team of <strong>Hugo Rofe<\/strong> and <strong>Thomas Sharp<\/strong> placed 29th. Another large group of keen Shore skiers inside an enormous field of competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 2 Alpine, our A Team of <strong>William Thompson<\/strong>, <strong>Luca Ewen<\/strong>, <strong>Benjamin Rose<\/strong> and <strong>Alexander Glasfurd<\/strong> won Team Bronze, <strong>William Thompson<\/strong> missing Individual Bronze by 14\/100ths of a second, and the distance between 4th and 1st was only 37\/100ths of a second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Day 4, in Division 3 Alpine, our A Team of <strong>Oli Klaas<\/strong>, <strong>Jake Mears<\/strong>, <strong>Sam Diddams <\/strong>and <strong>Henry Dockrill<\/strong> placed 4th, only 1.5 seconds behind 3rd. Our B Team of <strong>Tom Rose<\/strong>, <strong>Archer Bailey<\/strong>, <strong>Henry Grieve<\/strong> and <strong>Hudson Williams<\/strong> placed 10th, our C Team of <strong>Hugo Rofe<\/strong>, <strong>Henry Clark <\/strong>and <strong>Thomas Sharp<\/strong> placed 26th. A huge field of 31 teams\/139 athletes, which shows an encouraging age group for our boys with a lot of potential to develop over the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 2 Ski Cross, our A Team of <strong>Luca Ewen<\/strong>, <strong>Ben Rose<\/strong> and <strong>William Thompson<\/strong> just missed the podium as well, coming 4th by 0.29 seconds! <strong>Alex Glasfurd<\/strong> placed 26th as an individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Division 1 Ski Cross A Team of <strong>Charlie Kovacs<\/strong>, <strong>Nicholas Yates<\/strong> and <strong>Taj Robertson<\/strong> won TEAM SILVER. The B Team of <strong>Angus Motteram<\/strong>, <strong>Max L\u2019Orange<\/strong> and <strong>James Thompson<\/strong> placed 7th, and our C Team of <strong>Ari Ganassin<\/strong> and <strong>Alexander Yu<\/strong> placed 9th. Three Teams in the top 10 is a fantastic effort. Considering the Scots B Team won the event, 3rd, 4th and 5th were Scots A, C and D, with Redlands in 6th, I think we can hold our heads really high here, for sure &#8211; Four schools made up the top ten teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Division 1 Alpine, with a similar team structure approach, our A Team of <strong>Charlie Kovacs<\/strong>, <strong>Nicholas Yates<\/strong>, <strong>Taj Robertson<\/strong> and <strong>Ari Ganassin<\/strong> won Team Silver, and the B Team of <strong>Angus Motteram<\/strong>, <strong>Max L\u2019Orange<\/strong>, <strong>Max Papadopoulos,<\/strong> and <strong>James Thompson<\/strong> just missed that State invite, coming in at 6th, only 0.48 seconds behind 5th. <strong>Alexander Yu<\/strong> had an excellent race too, placing 22nd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many thanks go to all of the parents for their assistance with Team Management and Course Volunteering, and to Mr Gareth Inches, Mr David Weston and Mr Glenn Bates for their tireless efforts on and around the mountain. NSW State Championships will be happening in a few weeks, and Shore looks forward to posting a strong team.
