Recently the NSW CIS (Combined Independent Schools) Swimming Championships were held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC) on Monday 5 May and Tuesday 6 May. Shore had a total of 18 boys qualify to represent the AAGPS at this carnival, and they represented the GPS and the School with distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had the following top 5 results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Harrison A<\/strong> – 3rd in 14s 50m Freestyle, 5th in 50m Butterfly, 3rd in 200m Freestyle and 4th in 100m Freestyle<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– William B<\/strong> – 3rd in 16s 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly and 50m Backstroke, along with 5th placings in 100m Backstroke and 200m Backstroke<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Ethan Cook<\/strong> – 4th in 18s 200m Breaststroke<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Jonty J<\/strong> – 4th in 16s 100m Backstroke 3rd in 200m Backstroke<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Daniel Jin<\/strong> – 5th in 12s 50m Butterfly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Noah M<\/strong> – 4th in 16s 100m Freestyle<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–<\/strong> Ethan Ng<\/strong> – 4th in 17s 200m Butterfly and 100m Butterfly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Harry P<\/strong> – 3rd in 17s 50m Breaststroke, 4th in 100m Breaststroke<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also had a number of relays which had the following successes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– 17 and Over 4 x 50m Freestyle<\/strong> – the team of Harry P, Ethan Ng, Chase Harvey<\/strong> and James Bestic<\/strong> – 5th Place
– 17 and Over 4 x 50m Medley<\/strong> – Ethan Ng, Ethan Cook, Daniel Becker <\/strong>and James Bestic<\/strong> – 6th place
– 15\/16 4 x 50m Freestyle<\/strong> – Jonty J, Samuel C, William B <\/strong>and Noah M<\/strong> – 3rd place
– 15\/16 4 x 50m Medley<\/strong> – Hugo Stewart, Jonty J, Archie Lawry<\/strong> and William B<\/strong> – 3rd place
– All Age 6 x 50m Freestyle Relay<\/strong> –<\/strong> Daniel Jin, Brody Semmens, Byron Bradley, Archie Lawry, William Bestic <\/strong>and James Bestic<\/strong> – 5th place<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After some brilliant performances across the two days, the following boys have been rewarded ad gained qualification to represent CIS at the upcoming NSW All Schools Championships \u2013 including Harrison A, William B, Samuel C, Ethan C, Jonty J, Archie L, Noah M, Harry P<\/strong> and Hugo S<\/strong>. Congratulations to these boys for an awesome achievement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
