The Firsts Water Polo faced off against a strong Trinity side this week, which was certain to provide an interesting and fast-paced game. The first quarter started off slow, with an early goal to Trinity sweeping us off our feet for the first few minutes. Luckily, Jett Semmens<\/strong> used these difficulties to score Shore\u2019s first goal. The following quarter went in Shore\u2019s favour, with Charlie Kovacs<\/strong> scoring two, making the score 6-3 at the half. The following quarters provided a tough fight, but Harrison Brunker\u2019s<\/strong> determination in centre forward, scoring 4 goals in the second half, matched with Alex Woolfe\u2019s<\/strong> perseverance in goals, allowed the team to win 15-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thirds<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Thirds Water Polo began 2025 in style with a dominant display over Trinity. From the opening whistle, Shore was able to control the tempo of the match, and a crisp passing game enabled the scoreboard to tick over.  The first half was dominated by goals to Jonnie Pridmore<\/strong> and Tim Leahy<\/strong>, whilst the second half demonstrated the team’s ability with 7 goals in quick succession to Rory Keeler<\/strong>, Joel Hamilford<\/strong>, Daniel Lord<\/strong> and Tom Wensley<\/strong>. With some strong saves at the back from Oli Graham<\/strong>, the final score of 11-0 has set the team up for a big encounter against Knox in Week 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
