If you were playing ‘word bingo’ on Saturday at Northbridge, these were the winning words as showers and rain and wind and drizzle and everything in between ensured a frustrating day of play as teams came on and off all day across the seven games vs Riverview at Northbridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Dami Im on X-Factor all those years ago, the rain proved no problem, with the Shore boys performing brilliantly in the rain with six wins, three x washouts and just a single loss over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some outstanding performances despite the weather across the Senior School Cricket teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 14Bs smashing 5-192, had a great win with Jackson Harris<\/strong> (50 ret), Angus Murdoch-Tilmouth<\/strong> (46), and Sam Cawood<\/strong> (28) pilling on the runs, then followed up with Harvey Ekas <\/strong>taking a miserly 4\/6 and Patrick Old<\/strong> (3\/17) with a wet ball and slippery ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 14A\u2019s scored a mammoth 6\/207 off 32 overs, with James Story<\/strong> (81) and Harrison Koch<\/strong> (53) dominating with a 115 (90 balls) run partnership after a messy 4\/24 start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Glasson<\/strong> (57*) and Tom Hamilton<\/strong> (42*) with a match winning partnership to secure a fine win away from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fifth XI BBQ Boys enjoying another fine win with Liam Hamilton<\/strong> (30) and Will Penney<\/strong> (50*) enjoying a fine partnership to ensure another win with F-ground proving to be a fortress for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But without a doubt the three highlights are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the First XI struggling at 6\/39, Matt Melville<\/strong> (57) and Tom Fuzes<\/strong> (47) put up an amazing 100-run partnership , followed up by Stian Constable<\/strong> (46* off 33) to ensure a competitive 8-229 off 50 overs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henry Clifton<\/strong> took a brilliant 5\/15 with a piece of soap in the Third XI to change the game for Shore<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toby Smith<\/strong> scoring a magnificent 111 in the 15A\u2019s total of 7\/197 ensuring a 50 run victory! The innings was even noticed by an Opposition father (recent Australian Test Cricketer with 56 Tests) who marveled at a number of his shots and commented how well he batted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
