Week 4 Term 1 20024<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Thirds<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Another day, another win. The Thirds have been almost unstoppable this year! Isaac B<\/strong> was cool under pressure and executed excellent decision-making to give Byron B<\/strong> the opening goal. We got off to an early lead with goals to both Byron B<\/strong> and Daniel L<\/strong> in the First quarter, and we never looked like falling behind from there. Matt R<\/strong> was his usual physical self and defended like his life depended on it. Paired with Jack B<\/strong>\u2019s goalkeeping defence, we were very hard to score against. Thomas W<\/strong>, Harry B<\/strong> and Chris T<\/strong> all played key roles in our strong defence. Great win, boys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15A’s<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
As we near the pointy end of the season, it was fantastic to see such outstanding teamwork during this week\u2019s match. The boys are absolutely nailing their positioning, perfectly set by Kai and Ms Dowdell. Ed B<\/strong> was superb in goals with some great saves from long range and pin-point accuracy with his passes. Speaking of passing, Hamilton W<\/strong> was hitting the bullseye every time. Whether it was a pass to Henry B<\/strong> at centre forward or getting it out to the wings, Hamilton didn\u2019t miss. Jack M<\/strong> has become one of the most aggressive and intimidating defenders in the competition with his impressive defensive press. From the first whistle, the boys never looked in trouble and shot out to an early lead and didn\u2019t falter. The boys have been putting in a lot of hard work at training and they certainly reaped the rewards with a strong 17-4 victory over Trinity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15B’s<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
The 15B\u2019s continued their strong form in Term 1 with a hard-fought victory over St Augustine\u2019s. The team started strongly with 2 goals in the opening quarter before St Augustine\u2019s found their rhythm, and the scores were locked at 3 all going into the second half. Some strong play in the 3rd quarter, led by Alex R<\/strong> on the right edge, saw the boys lead by 3 goals going into the 4th quarter. The last quarter saw both teams trade goals, however, the supreme fitness of the 15B\u2019s saw them maintain their lead and end up victors to the score of 10-7. With one game to go against the old foe, Newington, the 15B’s will be looking to finish their season on a high note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
