Surfing Report
The Shore surfers were greeted with great conditions for their first week of training. The light northerly winds and 2-3 foot swell provided plenty of nice waves. Several new surfers have joined the group for this season and everyone caught waves which was great to see. With two different waves on offer, the group were able to spread out and find conditions to suit their ability.
Duncan Cowan and Sam Pockley headed south of the pole and sat on a left-hand rip bowl. They wasted no time in trading waves with Duncan scoring several long wally lefts. John Rajaratnam, Gabriel Watt and Nathan Stanmore sat on the right-hander, with John searching for a barrel in the sucky-bowl. Will Hoy was busy on the northern bank, topping the wave count and getting the turn of the day on a bigger left.
Ben Jones, Harry Murdoch, Hamish Warden and Noah Kordek all caught good waves, with Hamish emerging from a cover up tube to get smashed by the next section. Isaac Edwards, Oliver Roxburgh and Reef Nagle found waves even further north and were able to work on their turns in the nice conditions.
Overall, it was a very good start to the 2022/23 summer Surfing season.
