Simon Tedeschi: Masterclass – Piano Friday 15 November

We are fortunate to have Mr Simon Tedeschi, Australia’s renowned Concert Pianist, join us for a Masterclass on Friday 15 November at 3.30pm in the Orchestra Room. Described by the Sydney Morning Herald as “true greatness”, his host of accolades include Symphony Australia’s Young Performer of the Year Award, the Legacy Award from the Creativity Foundation, first prize in the Keyboard division of the Royal Overseas League Competition, and a Centenary of Federation Medal. Tedeschi performs as a soloist with all the major Australian orchestras as well as the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. Tedeschi also holds a Master of Arts (Writing and Literature) degree from Deakin University. Shore students are welcome to attend this event free of charge. Adult tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased here. This is a wonderful opportunity for participants and observers, so please feel free to extend the invitation to any who are interested.

Summer Twilight Concert Series / Year 10 Future Ready Week

Summer Twilight Concert Series will be held November 18 – November 22. There will be live performances at lunchtime and in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, showcasing our co-curricular ensembles. Bring your blankets and a picnic and enjoy the live music. There will also be sausages and drinks on sale. Further details of the schedule can be found in the poster. Summer Twilight Concert Series occurs during Year 10 Future Ready Week. It is an expectation that all performing students will attend the lunchtime and evening concerts and perform with their peers.

Private Music Lessons

Applications for Private Music Lessons in 2025 are now open. For best planning, it would be appreciated if these could be completed by Friday 22 November 2024. The link to sign up for private music lessons is here, and the Terms and Conditions are at the beginning of the application.
