American Tea 2025 – Volunteers Needed!
Planning is officially underway for American Tea 2025, taking place on Friday 12 September. It is a much-loved School event that the boys look forward to each year and includes amusement park rides, food stalls, games and market stalls.
We need your help! Whether you’re a seasoned parent volunteer or a first-timer, there are plenty of ways to get involved, both on campus and remotely. You’ll be joining a supportive and fun committee working together to make this iconic Shore event another huge success.
If any of the roles below sound like you (or someone you know!), we’d love to hear from you.
Committee Roles – Join the Team!
Silent Auction Prize Coordinators (Commence ASAP – Remote, with optional on-site during event week)
Two roles available to support one of our major fundraising features:
- Years 3 to 6 Prize Coordinator: Liaise with Year Reps and gather prizes from the Prep community.
- Boarder Parent Representative: Engage our wonderful boarding families and secure unique country-themed contributions.
Great for parents with strong networks and a gift for friendly follow-ups.
External Stalls 2IC and Succession Support (Commence ASAP – Remote & On-Site)
Help support the external (non-parent) commercial stalls alongside our current coordinator, with the intention of stepping into the lead role in future years. A fantastic opportunity for someone organised and eager to build their event coordination experience.
Hot Food Stall Coordinators
Love to cook and cater? Grab a friend and run your own hot food stall at the American Tea! We’re on the lookout for delicious, easy-to-eat meals with an international flair – one dish per stall – think Korean fried chicken in a cup, American hot dogs, Mexican Tacos, Indian butter chicken… anything that keeps the boys fuelled and on the move. Whether you’re showcasing a family favourite or sharing flavours from your culture, this is a great way to get involved and bring some global spice to the day!
All volunteers are required to have a registered Working With Children Check.
