First Impressions
Angus Reardon and Beau Shoemark are Year 8 boarders in Hodges House. Having spent Year 7 in School House, the Hodges experience is new to them. They have enjoyed getting to know boys in the house from a range of different backgrounds and socialising with the full time boarders on weekends. Beau says “one highlight was when Mr Fitch had Batch Burgers in Kirribilli deliver food to the house on a Saturday evening with a torrential downpour. It was great watch the Waratahs and eat delicious burgers and fries with our mates in the comfort of our common room!” Angus reports that the boys have settled in well, enjoying the culture and vibe throughout the house. He commented that “staff have helped guide us through new routines and procedures after moving across from School House”. In particular, the boys are looking forward to being part of the future of Hodges House as well as getting involved in activities that are on offer in the wider boarding community.
