Cooking Lessons
With 15 new boarders joining Barry House this year, we have had several opportunities on weekends especially to teach them some cooking skills, while BBQs continue to be a favourite on Sunday mornings and during the odd Tutor Group. Spaghetti bolognaise and Mexican tacos have kept the boys busy, and they now have a couple of recipes to take home to cook for the family. With 25+ boys in, the second-biggest challenge was preparing so many meals in the one sitting.
The biggest challenge for a couple of boys was using a can-opener – thank you, Jeremy Morison and Callum Simson for the laughs…
