There have been a number of parent and student complaints, and recently parents have also been fined by Bayside Council.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please note that Bayside Council does not inform the College of when they will be patrolling the area.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you need to pick your child up from the College, we suggest a safer option would be to organise to meet her at Dowsett Park or in an adjoining street, away from the bus zones and crossings. If you need to pick her up at the front of the College, please obey the parking signs and traffic rules. In particular, do not double park. This is dangerous, is an offence in a school zone and blocks traffic flow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Caroline Street has very clear signage regarding what is permitted in front of the College:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7229\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/serviam\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2021\/06\/PARKING.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"547\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Clarification of No Parking\u00a0<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You must not <\/span><b>stop <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">or <\/span><b>park your vehicle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">alongside another parked vehicle (double park)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">across a driveway, unless you\u2019re picking up or dropping off passengers\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on a median strip, unless a sign says you can\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on a traffic island\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">within an intersection\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on a children\u2019s crossing or pedestrian crossing\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on a railway level crossing\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on footpaths and nature strips, unless a sign says you can\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in a slip lane, unless a sign says you can.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Your parked vehicle must not block the flow of traffic or become a danger to other road users. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In some places, you must not park at certain times or under certain conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left\">&#8216;No Parking&#8217; signs <b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7230 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/serviam\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2021\/06\/no-parking.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"172\" height=\"310\" \/><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You must not park on a road or in an area where there\u2019s a \u2018No Parking\u2019 sign. This may be all the time or at certain times, as shown on the sign.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>You can stop for less than 2 minutes if you stay within 3m of your vehicle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, if you are: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">dropping off or picking up passengers\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">loading or unloading items.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please note that Bayside Council does not inform the College of when they will be patrolling the area. <strong>If you park for <\/strong><\/span><strong>more than 2 minutes <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>you will be booked<\/strong>, e.g. if you arrive at 2.45pm and wait for your daughter to exit the school at 3.02pm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you have a Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) permit, you can stop for up to 5 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>School Drop-off and Pick-up zone<b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7231 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/serviam\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2021\/06\/SCHOOL-DROP-OFF.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"180\" \/><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our school in Bayside Council uses No Parking areas, signed as &#8216;Drop-off \/ Pick-up Zones&#8217;, &#8216;Kiss and Ride&#8217;, or &#8216;Kiss and Drop Zones&#8217;. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These areas are always on the school side of the road and are designated by &#8216;No Parking&#8217; signs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They provide a safe spot for parents and carers to drop off and collect their children from school by car. <\/span><b>Drivers may drop off and pick up passengers legally within a two-minute<\/b> <b>timeframe<\/b><b> (<\/b><strong><i>see No Parking guidelines above<\/i><\/strong><b>). <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>You cannot double park in this area.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h4>Bus Zones<b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7232 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/serviam\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2021\/06\/BUS-ZONE.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"190\" height=\"327\" \/><\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You must not stop in the direction of the arrow or arrows on the sign, unless you\u2019re driving a public bus. Some bus zones have times shown.
