This year\u2019s competition looked at 8 ethical cases on topical issues such as<strong> i<em>s it ethical to create an AI version of someone using their personal?<\/em><\/strong>, <em><strong>is it permissible for wealthier people to buy certain expensive meat alternatives such as in-vitro meat?<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>if it&#8217;s unaffordable to the majority, should gene editing technology be used on germline editing?<\/strong><\/em> to name a few. The competition involved discussing and refuting cases against a range of schools in NSW, being judged on ethical theories and moral objectivism.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The following eth-letes represented the College:<\/p>\n<h5 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Team 1<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Soraya Awad<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Cielo Collaguazo<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Aurora Feng<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Jacinta Shori<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Eden Vonhoff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Team 2:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Marion Choi<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Lucy Yoegiar<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Madeleine Sutedjo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Through this competition, our eth-letes developed their critical thinking skills through engaging in important discussions with each other and students from a range of Australian contexts.
