{"id":23404,"date":"2026-03-19T09:44:45","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T22:44:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/serviam\/?post_type=article&#038;p=23404"},"modified":"2026-03-19T09:45:05","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T22:45:05","slug":"urshie-welcome-packs","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/serviam\/article\/urshie-welcome-packs\/","title":{"rendered":"Urshie Welcome Packs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Friday 27 February during Year 7 L@unch, Year 7 students received an individualised gift from Year 8 2026 in the form of a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Urshie Welcome Pack.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The welcome packs were designed in Term 3 2025 by Year 7 as part of their project based learning in Year 7 L@unch. The aim of the task was to create a welcome pack for students that captured the charism of St Ursula&#8217;s and to assist new students in feeling a sense of belonging and shared identity. In the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Urshie Welcome Packs<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Year 7 students were given a personalised welcome letter, reflection\/affirmation bookmark and a red reflection journal to assist in documenting their journey into secondary school. A huge thank you to Year 8 students Diana Karam and Mary Rose Semrani for helping present the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Urshie Welcome Packs<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to Year 7, 2026. We hope that these individual packs can be a practical way of communicating how excited we are to have the new Year 7s join our college community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As part of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Urshie Welcome Pack<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the students designed a \u2018day in the life of\u2019 short video.
