When we were assigned to create a telenovela, we did not think it was possible. Writing a <\/span>storyline, designating roles and editing in Spanish sounded challenging. Inspired by the <\/span>telenovela culture of Latin America, our telenovela \u2018El carisma de Juan\u2019, was a combination of <\/span>comedy, deception and most importantly, romance.<\/span><\/p>\n

The story tells the story of Griselda and Juan who got recently married but then suffer a car <\/span>accident. Juan develops amnesia and Griselda does everything in her power to make Juan <\/span>remember her, only for the therapist, Aracely to take advantage of his condition and make him <\/span>fall in love with her. The truth is finally revealed thanks to the help of Refugio but Juan and <\/span>Griselda\u2019s reencounter is cut short by Gabriela\u2019s revelation of causing the car accident. In the <\/span>end, love prevails and the protagonists are able to live their everlasting love.<\/span><\/p>\n

This telenovela was fun, exciting and had many laughable moments during production. It is <\/span>definitely a once in a lifetime experience and were able to learn a lot relevant vocabulary, <\/span>which will be highly useful as we start analysing one of Mexico\u2019s most well-known telenovelas, <\/span>Rubi. We invited our teachers to watch the premier of our telenovela and they loved it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Together we rose to the occasion and were extremely proud of this masterpiece.<\/span><\/p>\n
