The evening opened with performances from our Year 7 String Extension Groups.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n These ensembles are part of the programs, ensuring students are supported from their earliest stages of musical development. For many, it was their first public performance\u2014an important milestone nurtured through a structured and thoughtful program design.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>String Ensemble<\/b>\u00a0performed <\/span>\u201cOverture \u2013 Dieci al prezzo di uno,\u201d<\/span><\/i> followed by a touching vocal item, <\/span>\u201cLove Moves in Mysterious Ways\u201d<\/span><\/i> from <\/span>Year 9 student Karylle Dagalea<\/b>\u2014one of many elective students mentored in the elective classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n One of the evening\u2019s standout performances came from <\/span>Gabriella Saliba<\/b>, <\/span>Joyce Wang<\/b>, and <\/span>Marion Choi<\/b>, whose arrangement of <\/span>\u201cStand Up\u201d<\/span><\/i> formed part of their Year 9 Elective Music assessment. Their performance demonstrated the depth of learning in elective program of American Spirituals and Gospel, showcasing creativity and confident performance across multiple instruments. Their use of harmonica, bass guitar, piano and vocals.<\/span><\/p>\n The Concert Band Extension groups, developed through the Amadeus Program, continued to highlight the their strengths:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n This section also featured beautiful solo performances by two elective students has supported through classroom and program.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The <\/span>Year 8 Extension Concert Band,<\/b> run under <\/span>Danielle Buiaroski,<\/span> then performed <\/span>Highlights from Willy Wonka<\/span><\/i>, a nostalgic return to one of the College\u2019s recent musical productions.<\/span><\/p>\n Our co-curricular ensembles have had an active year performing at assemblies, eisteddfods, Year 7 orientation, community events, and school celebrations.<\/span><\/p>\n At the showcase, the following groups performed:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n Hamilton.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The professionalism, confidence, and musical cohesion displayed by these ensembles were well received.<\/span><\/p>\n Two exceptional solo performances highlighted the high standards of the elective program.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/li>\n <\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The night concluded with a vibrant performance of <\/span>\u201cSeptember\u201d<\/span><\/i> by the <\/span>College Stage Band<\/b>, bringing the showcase to an exciting and joyful finish led by Mr Valente and <\/span>D<\/span>anielle Buiaroski<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n A special acknowledgement was given to:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/li>\n <\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n We look forward to another inspiring year of music-making in 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
