Armidale currently has strict Level 5 water restrictions, with the local council predicting there is less than 400 days of water left in the city’s dam.

Armidale is usually full of thriving oaks and conifers, but due to the drought, some of them are now dying.

The Mayor of Armidale, Simon Murray, recently stated: “Trucking water is going to be the only water solution. But where do you truck it from?”

Through our Concert and Mufti Day, St Ursula’s students raised an outstanding $1,646.10, which will go towards sending trucks of water to Armidale to support them during this difficult time.

Thank you for your generosity to support our sister school – it is greatly appreciated by the Armidale community.
