St Ursula’s student shines in ARTEXPRESS

We announced late last year that the HSC artwork of Jessica Michael from the Class of 2019 had been selected for the prestigious annual ARTEXPRESS exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Last Wednesday, accompanied by her proud parents and art teachers, Mrs Burton and Mrs Hayman, Jessica attended the exhibition opening. She had the opportunity to meet the NSW Governor General, Margaret Beazley and Director of the Art Gallery, Michael Brand. She discussed her artwork Tayta and Jido at some length with each of them.  

ARTEXPRESS is an annual series of exhibitions of exemplary artworks created by NSW art students for the HSC. You can see Jessica’s drawings along with 44 other student works at the Art Gallery of NSW from now until 26 April 2020.
