A page or two each morning for a lifelong love of reading

Year 9 Pastoral Care class has been a page-turner for our Year 9 students, who are spending five minutes reading silently during roll call in the morning.

This literacy initiative, called Drop Everything and Read (DEAR), encourages our students to read consistently. This will not only help them prepare for the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), but just as importantly, encourage a lifelong love of reading.

A big thank you to the College library team and Pastoral Care teachers for their valued support of this initiative.
