Year 9 reflect on their Ursuline value Unite

Year 9 reflect on their Ursuline value Unite

Year 9 students took part in a Reflection Day this week around the Ursuline value of Unite.

Students listened via Zoom to Sam Clear from Walk4one. Sam walked over 15,000km around the world over 18 months praying at every church he came across for Christian unity. He spoke about his journey, the challenges, and the unexpected kindness he found.

Later the students found unity through music as they enjoyed a creative session with Drum Circle Events where every student had their own drum to add to the collaboration. Students enjoyed participating in this interactive and highly energised activity.

Finally as a group, we looked at the “couch choir” and how thousands of strangers in 18 countries participated in a virtual choir building community during COVID19. We symbolically linked all members of our community together in a paper chain which we placed on our cross – showing how we can Unite in God’s love for us.
