{"id":998,"date":"2020-02-27T11:24:12","date_gmt":"2020-02-27T00:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/sceggs\/?post_type=article&#038;p=998"},"modified":"2020-02-27T11:24:15","modified_gmt":"2020-02-27T00:24:15","slug":"visual-arts-5","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/sceggs\/article\/visual-arts-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Visual Arts"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>National Art School (NAS) HSC Intensive Studio Practice: <\/strong><strong>Applications open<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 11 students are invited to apply in consultation with their Art teacher <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the NAS HSC Intensive Studio Practice the student will:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li>work within a specialised discipline using a broad range of media and art making processes<\/li>\n<li>refine their ability to interpret and evaluate their own and others\u2019 artworks<\/li>\n<li>engage in sustained critical reflection and evaluation<\/li>\n<li>gain practical skills in preparing for, mounting and curating an exhibition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity for Year 11 students in Visual Arts to enrich and extend their study within a choice of\u00a0 one of seven specialised disciplines: Drawing, Ceramics, Painting, Black and White Photography, Digital Photography, Printmaking or Sculpture.<\/p>\n<p>Applications close <strong>Monday 9 April 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions about the workshops listed above visit the National Art School\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nas.edu.au\/hsc-intensive-studio-practice\/\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/mosmanartgallery.org.au\/exhibitions\/2020-mosman-youth-art-prize\">Mosman Youth Art Prize 2020<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><strong>The Mosman Youth Art Prize<\/strong> is open to young artists, aged between 12-21, submitting artworks in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, video, photography and ceramics to win cash prizes, scholarships and art materials.
