{"id":8765,"date":"2022-08-25T12:36:28","date_gmt":"2022-08-25T01:36:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/sceggs\/?post_type=article&#038;p=8765"},"modified":"2022-08-25T12:36:28","modified_gmt":"2022-08-25T01:36:28","slug":"interhouse-science-competition-results-2022","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/sceggs\/article\/interhouse-science-competition-results-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Interhouse Science Competition Results 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of SCEGGS celebration of National Science Week, the annual Inter-house Science Trivia Competition was held on Wednesday 17 August.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8768 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2022\/08\/DSC_5996-e1661303048903.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The theme for National Science Week this year was <em>\u201cGlass-More than Meets the Eye&#8221;<\/em>, which focused on the interesting properties and applications of different types of glass, and the chemistry which imparting these properties.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8769 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2022\/08\/Interhouse-science-banner-e1661303078581.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"424\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After a hard-fought 4 rounds of trivia, we had a very close and exciting finish. \u00a0Here are the results of the competition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6<sup>th<\/sup> place went to Badham on 28 points<\/li>\n<li>5<sup>th<\/sup> place went to Beck on 31 points<\/li>\n<li>4<sup>th<\/sup> place went to Barton on 33 points<\/li>\n<li>Equal 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place went to Christian and Docker on 34 points<\/li>\n<li>1<sup>st<\/sup> place went to Langley on 41 points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to Langley House for taking out the competition for 2022, and thank you to all girls who participated for their house or who supported the teams as audience members.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke Hanson<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Head of Science<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of SCEGGS celebration of National Science Week, the annual Inter-house Science Trivia Competition was held on Wednesday 17 August.
