Well done to Charlotte FitzSimons (Year 12) who performed \u201cThe Last Post\u201d and \u201cRouse\u201d.\u00a0 Special thank you to Mr Michael Tierney (Director of Bands) who helped to prepare and took part in the 2022 NSW Intensive \u201cYoung Mannheim Symphonists\u201d program.\u00a0 The program took place during the second week of the holidays from Tuesday 19 to Saturday 23 April at The Hills Grammar School.\u00a0 This program was directed by the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra and was formed specifically to provide students with an opportunity to specialise in historically informed performances.\u00a0 Samantha successfully auditioned for this program and had an opportunity to play the natural Horn, which would have been the style of instrument utitlised at the time of the Classical period.\u00a0 Well done Samantha!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Musicale 2 \u2013 Thursday 12 May 5.30pm The Great Hall<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>We are pleased to be presenting our second ensemble performance on <strong>Thursday 12 May at 5.30pm.<\/strong>\u00a0 The following ensembles will be performing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>String Power<\/li>\n<li>Stringalong<\/li>\n<li>Amati Strings<\/li>\n<li>Lux Strings<\/li>\n<li>Holst Wind Band<\/li>\n<li>Basie Jazz Band<\/li>\n<li>Choir<\/li>\n<li>Glennie Percussion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Performers will need to arrive at the Diana Bowman site promptly at 5pm to warm up in readiness for the performance.<\/p>\n<p>A reminder for families of Primary school students who will require Afterschool Care to make their bookings.\u00a0 Students
