All applications close on Monday 7 March.<\/p>\n<h5>Organ Scholarships<\/h5>\n<p>Applications are invited for two Organ Tuition Scholarships for 2022 &#8211; 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The Organ Tuition Scholarships will be made available to foster girls\u2019 interest in learning and playing the organ. It is hoped that the student organists will be involved with services, assemblies and special events held in the SCEGGS Chapel and the Great Hall.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2022\/02\/Organ-Tuition-Information-and-Application-Form.pdf\">Please see here for further information.<\/a><\/p>\n<h5>\nMargot Anthony Budd \u201cBeyond the Curriculum Award\u201d<\/h5>\n<p>The Margot Anthony (Budd) <em>Beyond the Curriculum<\/em> Music Award will be awarded annually to two students. The award consists of a monetary amount awarded annually for students in Years 8 to 11 who study Elective Music. The Award is to be used by the student to support their continued involvement in musical activities, which serve to facilitate the development of their musical potential.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2022\/02\/Margot-Anthony-Budd-Beyond-the-Curriculum-Music-Awards.pdf\">Please see here for further information.<\/a><\/p>\n<h5>\nBand Discovery Fellowships<\/h5>\n<p>The Music Department is offering <strong>TWO <\/strong>Band Discovery Fellowships to successful applicants from Year 7. <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/AxDa7gLTJzZaNTGbA\">Please fill out this form if you would like to apply. <\/a>The form also outlines the eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If successful, you will receive:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Yr 12), Week 8 (all other heats)<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Vocal heats and Year 12 instrumental heats will be held in Week 7 (Friday 11 March).<\/li>\n<li>Instrumental heats will be held in Week 8 (Monday 14 March \u2013 Friday 18 March) during regular Music class lessons for Primary students, Year 7 students and Elective Music students.<\/li>\n<li>All other heats will be held during regular class lesson time.<\/li>\n<li>Students will perform for the external, specialist adjudicator in a music studio &#8211; there is no audience.<\/li>\n<li>Due to timetabling restrictions, adjudicators do not provide written reports or any other feedback.<\/li>\n<li>TIME LIMIT: 5 MINUTES<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Highlights Concerts<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Adjudicators select between 15-20 performers to perform at each Highlights concert (Primary &amp; Guitar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/JmGz3JEuwtfHHYws5\">Please apply through this link.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Peripatetic Guidelines<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>A reminder about the policies around the alterations to scheduled music lessons from the Peripatetic guidelines:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alterations to Scheduled Music Lessons<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With the assistance of parents, students are encouraged to monitor forthcoming interruptions to music lessons (e.g., camps, excursions, tests).<\/li>\n<li>The parents of Primary students have the responsibility to notify their daughter\u2019s music tutor if they need to alter a scheduled music lesson.<\/li>\n<li>It is the Secondary student\u2019s responsibility to notify their music tutor if they need to alter a scheduled music lesson.<\/li>\n<li>Music tutors are expected to advise parents and students immediately of circumstances which will prevent lessons being given (e.g., illness, planned absences), so that appropriate alternative arrangements can be put in<\/li>\n<li>If a student provides their music tutor with reasonable notice of the need to alter a scheduled music lesson (i.e., at least 24hrs), then an alternate music lesson <u>may<\/u> be<\/li>\n<li>If a student misses a lesson without notification, the music tutor will contact parents immediately to ascertain the reason for the student\u2019s absence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parents should expect to be charged for the missed lesson.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>String tutors<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2022\/02\/Music-Matters_Violin-tutors-shortened-version_FINAL.pdf\">Read more<\/a> about our Violin tutors;
