\u201cBreak a leg\u201d to Old Girl Poppy LYNCH (2015) who makes her professional debut this week in HONOUR<\/em> at The Ensemble Theatre.<\/p>\n

Poppy recently graduated from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and is our Primary Tutor in the St Peter\u2019s Players program.<\/p>\n

HONOUR plays April 28 to June 5.<\/a> Chookas Poppy!<\/p>\n


\nYear 9 & 10 Drama Excursion to Melbourne<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I am delighted to announce that students in the Year 9 and 10 drama classes will be given an opportunity to participate in a Drama Tour to Melbourne during the Term 3 mid-term break in August.<\/p>\n

We will be taking in a host of cultural experiences offered by marvellous Melbourne including an AFL game, a tour of the Victorian College of the Arts and attendance at both parts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the historic Princess Theatre.<\/p>\n

Information brochures and booking forms have been distributed. Completed forms should be returned to Mr Eyers by May 7 to register participation.<\/p>\n


\n<\/u><\/strong>Year 7 & Year 8 Production \u2013 Framed <\/em>\u2013 Auditions<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A production featuring students in Years 7 and 8 will be presented in Term 3. Production dates are Thursday September 2 and Friday September 3.<\/p>\n

The play being produced is Framed<\/em> by Carla Moore. The narrative takes place in an Art gallery where famous paintings from history are being stolen. Four of the greatest detectives are summoned to solve the crime.<\/p>\n

Framed<\/em> will be directed by St Peter\u2019s Players Tutor, Ms Romy Bartz.<\/p>\n

Auditions will be conducted on Friday April 30.<\/p>\n


\nThe Removalists <\/em><\/strong>by David Williamson \u2013 Excursion<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Year 11 and HSC Drama students will attend a production of The Removalists on Sunday 2 May. The play is being produced by the New Theatre in Newtown and will support the girls in their study of this play under the topic of \u201cTheatrical traditions in Australia\u201d.<\/p>\n

\n

\nOne must let the play happen to one; one must let the mind loose to respond as it will, to receive impressions, to sense rather than know, to gather rather than immediately understand.<\/p>\n
