Year 9 & 10 Drama Excursion to Melbourne<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I am delighted to announce that students in the Year 9 and 10 Drama classes will be given an opportunity to participate in a Drama Tour to Melbourne during the Term 3, mid-term break in August.<\/p>\n

We will be taking in a host of cultural experiences offered by marvellous Melbourne including an AFL game, a tour of the Victorian College of the Arts and attendance at both parts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the historic Princess Theatre.<\/p>\n

Information brochures and booking forms have been distributed. Completed forms should be returned to Mr Eyers by 7 May to register participation.<\/p>\n


\nYear 7 And 8 Production \u2013 Framed<\/em> \u2013 Information Afternoon and Auditions<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A production featuring students in Years 7 and 8 will be presented in Term 3. An Information Afternoon will be conducted on Tuesday 27 April (T2W2) for interested students. This is an opportunity to meet the Director, hear about the production and learn what to prepare for audition. Auditions will be conducted on Friday 30 April with rehearsals commencing on Tuesday 4 May.<\/p>\n

Please note that rehearsals will be conducted on Tuesday and Friday afternoons and cast members must be available for all rehearsals.<\/p>\n

Production dates are Thursday 2 September and Friday 3 September.<\/p>\n

The play being produced is Framed<\/em> by Carla Moore. The narrative takes place in an Art gallery where famous paintings from history are being stolen. Four of the greatest detectives are summoned to solve the crime.<\/p>\n

\u2018Framed<\/em> will be directed by St Peter\u2019s Players Tutor, Ms Romy Bartz.<\/p>\n


\nThe Removalists<\/em><\/strong> by David Williamson \u2013 Excursion<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Year 11 and HSC Drama students will attend a production of The Removalists on Sunday 2 May. The play is being produced by the New Theatre in Newtown and will support the girls in their study of this play under the topic of \u2018Theatrical traditions in Australia\u2019.<\/p>\n


\nWe Will Rock You<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Scots College, in conjunction with various schools, are producing the Queen musical – We Will Rock You<\/em> at the NIDA theatre in Kensington until Saturday 24 April.<\/p>\n

SCEGGS is delighted to have representation in the cast from the following students:<\/p>\n

Eliza Newton, Maggie-Rose Dunlop, Jessica Millin, Eva Harris, Samantha Millin, Isabella Morgan, Lucia Habib and Elizabeth Lapham.<\/p>\n

We wish the girls the very best for their final weeks of rehearsal, as the show is pulled together for presentation to an excited audience.<\/p>\n
