{"id":4053,"date":"2021-03-18T10:55:42","date_gmt":"2021-03-17T23:55:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/sceggs\/?post_type=article&#038;p=4053"},"modified":"2021-03-18T11:10:48","modified_gmt":"2021-03-18T00:10:48","slug":"drama-news-16","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/sceggs\/article\/drama-news-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Drama News"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>Year 9 &amp; 10 Drama Excursion to Melbourne\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>I am delighted to announce that students in the Year 9 and 10 drama classes will be given an opportunity to participate in a Drama Tour to Melbourne during the mid-term break in August.<\/p>\n<p>We will be taking in a host of cultural experiences offered by marvellous Melbourne including an AFL game, a tour of the Victorian College of the Arts and attendance at both parts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the historic Princess Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>Information brochures and booking forms will be distributed next week.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><em><br \/>\nWe Will Rock You<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Scots College, in conjunction with various schools, are producing the Queen musical <em>We Will Rock You<\/em> at the NIDA Theatre in the first week of Term 2.<\/p>\n<p>The dates are Wednesday 21 April &#8211; Saturday 24 April.<\/p>\n<p>SCEGGS is delighted to have representation in the cast from the following students:<\/p>\n<p>Eliza Newton, Maggie-Rose Dunlop, Jessica Millin, Eva Harris, Samantha Millin, Isabella Morgan, Lucia Habib and Elizabeth Lapham.<\/p>\n<p>We wish the girls the very best for their final weeks of rehearsal, as the show is pulled together for presentation to an excited audience.<\/p>\n<p>More information can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsc.nsw.edu.au\/\">Scots website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><br \/>\nYear 7 And 8 Production \u2013<em> Framed<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A production featuring students in Years 7 and 8 will be presented in Term 3. Auditions will be conducted in early Term 2. Rehearsals will be conducted on Tuesday and Friday afternoons and cast members must be available for all rehearsals.<\/p>\n<p>The play being produced is <em>Framed<\/em> by Carla Moore. The narrative takes place in an Art gallery where famous paintings from history are being stolen. Four of the greatest detectives are summoned to solve the crime.<\/p>\n<p><em>Framed <\/em>will be directed by St Peter\u2019s Players Tutor, Ms Romy Bartz.<\/p>\n<p>Auditions will be announced in future editions of Behind The Green Gate and posted on the Drama noticeboard outside the Playhouse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote\">\n<p><em>Theatre is a mirror.
