Secondary students are not permitted to make their own co-curricular sport selections via Clipboard.<\/p>\n<p>Please click <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.clipboard.app\/sceggs-darlinghurst\/activity-selection\">here<\/a> to enrol students for Term 4 Co-Curricular Sport.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"New\"><\/a>New Sports<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>We are planning to enter some junior Volleyball teams (Years 7-9) into the Term 4 Santa Sabina Volleyball Competition that is held on Saturday mornings. NO bike shorts<\/p>\n<p><u>Shin pads &amp; mouth guards compulsory for all sessions<\/u>.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"113\">\n<p><strong>IGSA Netball<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"557\">\n<p>SCEGGS sport skirt and white netball shirt OR netball dress depending on team.<\/p>\n<p>Bike shorts under skirts permitted.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>The white long-sleeve SCEGGS UV base layer is permitted to be worn under sport shirts for all\/any sports above.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"CoCurricular\"><\/a>Commitment to SCEGGS Co-Curricular Activities <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Regular physical activity is an essential part of promoting positive health and well-being. Building relationships, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork is another element to co-curricular sport. We expect full commitment to all co-curricular sporting activities at SCEGGS. Students should be respectful of the impact that any absence has on team sport: their teammates, the opposition, the coach, and the reputation of the school.<\/p>\n<p>Students are expected to be fully committed and attend all scheduled training sessions, trials and matches.<\/p>\n<p>All absences must be communicated\u00a0to the relevant department using the following guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parents and guardians are to request written permission for leave from Ms Gyton (Secondary) or Mrs Dempsey (Primary) at least a week in advance from a sporting fixture or Saturday trial e.g. Year 12 student attending a University Open Day<\/li>\n<li>If a student is sick on a Saturday, a parent\/guardian must email or message the relevant coach and Sport Coordinator, or Director of Sport, prior to the match explaining the absence.<\/li>\n<li>If a student is unable to attend a weekday training or trial session, the student, or a parent, is to notify the relevant Sports Co-ordinator as soon as possible on the day.<\/li>\n<li>In case of a clash with school co-curricular activities e.g. Musicale, Sports Training, Duke of Ed Hike, the student is to liaise with both Co-ordinators to negotiate an acceptable outcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Failure to adhere to the above guidelines in the secondary school will result in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A detention for any unexplained absences from a competition match.<\/li>\n<li>A penalty point for any unexplained absence from training or trial sessions.<\/li>\n<li>A penalty point for late arrival to more than 2 training sessions or matches in the same term.<\/li>\n<li>If a student\u2019s attendance is deemed unsatisfactory, they will be ineligible for house points and recognition on reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>IGSA Fixtures, Results and Wet Weather<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The IGSA website and platform for accessing wet weather, fixtures and team results can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/igsasport.spawtz.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>SCEGGS at Play<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Do you have any sporting news or photos to share in the Green Gate?<\/p>\n<p>We love seeing our students being active and want to celebrate their passion and enjoyment amongst the SCEGGS community.
