<\/a>2026 National Songwriting Competition <\/strong><\/h4>\nThe Australian Children\u2019s Music Foundation\u2019s 23rd annual National Songwriting Competition is now open for entries. The Competition is aimed at fostering creativity, self-expression and nurturing the next generation of songwriters. This year\u2019s competition is the biggest yet, with a prize pool valued at over $30,000.<\/p>\n
ACMF believes every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to experience the transformative power of music. The National Songwriting Competition is free to enter for all school-aged children from Kindergarten to Year 12.<\/p>\n

- Received the Special Prize from Artist Management Koltun (Germany)<\/strong>, including an invitation to perform a piano recital during the Eifel Musicale Festival in Monschau, Germany<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Received the Youngest Competitor Award<\/strong>, recognising her as the youngest participant in the entire competition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
WPTA International Piano Competition (Vienna, Austria)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Awarded 1st Prize (WPTA Australia 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n

<\/a>Kindergarten Learning String Instruments at School <\/strong><\/h4>\nKindergarten students are eligible to enrol to have instrumental lessons at school from the beginning of next term! Last week the Kindy class was treated to performances demonstrating string instruments by Amelia Chow (Year 6) violinist, Monica Zhang (Year 5) violist and Bronte Lusted (Year 5) cellist. These talented musicians were able to show the younger students how each instrument sounded and share their enthusiasm and love of music. Information has been sent to Kindy parents this week about enrolling for violin, viola or cello lessons at school. Once the Kindy students have had a few terms of tuition, they will be invited to join a string ensemble. Students enjoy playing together very much, both musically and socially.\u00a0<\/p>\n
