<\/a>K-2 Piano Concert<\/strong><\/h4>\nLast Friday at lunchtime, 17 keen piano students performed for parents and grandparents in the Primary Music Room. Many of the performers learn at school from one of our wonderful tutors \u2013 Catherine, Chloe, Lisa or Natalia \u2013 and a few have tutors outside of school. All were happy to sit atop the piano stool and share their music with the attentive audience. Congratulations to all performers \u2013 we look forward to hearing you play again soon!<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/h4>\n<\/a>Open Mic<\/strong><\/h4>\nAs part of Music Week, the opportunity to perform for lunch-goers in the Cafeteria was offered last Wednesday and Thursday. A lovely woodwind quartet opened proceedings on Wednesday and, after a little bit of encouragement, more brave souls came forward to strut their stuff! Zoe Coudounaris sang a favourite from Moana<\/em>, while Camille Asher warned us that The Winner Takes It All. <\/em>A classic by Billy Joel called Vienna <\/em>impressed the lively crowd of onlookers, as did that old favourite, Stand By Me. <\/em>On Thursday, Miss Harrigan and Ms Holmes had to stir the hesitant few into action by smashing out some old-time numbers such as I Feel Pretty<\/em> and I Guess That\u2019s Why They Call It the Blues. <\/em>Some enthusiastic Year 11 Elective Music students couldn\u2019t resist the opportunity to revisit Wade in the Water<\/em> and Since You\u2019ve Been Gone.<\/em> Ying Huang was inspired to entertain on the keyboard, as was Dasha Jolley. All in all, it was fun to try something new and bring some musical talent to the place of feasting.
