Even a few minutes of practice counts! If girls can play their instrument every day without missing a day over 4 weeks, they will be awarded certificates as follows:<\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;width: 100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong>7-Day Streak <\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong>Bronze Award<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong>14-Day Streak<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong>Silver Award<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong>21-Day Streak<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong> Gold Award<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong>28-Day Streak<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><strong>Platinum Award<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please have a chat with your daughter to confirm which piece she and her tutor have decided that she will perform in the SCEGGS Eisteddfod Heats in Week 7.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Labelling Instrument Cases<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>We now have over 200 musical instruments at SCEGGS across the week! Please ensure that your daughter\u2019s instrument case is <u>clearly labelled <\/u>with her name and phone number. Sometimes the wrong instrument can be taken home if cases are not labelled clearly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Sing and String Workshop<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>SCEGGS choristers and Amati Strings will collaborate with string players and choristers from Sydney Grammar School College Street campus for the Sing and String Workshop to be held on Sunday 8 March. More information coming soon for students to apply to be involved for a fun day of rehearsals, musical connection and an informal concert for parents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Family Concert for Primary Students <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>On\u00a0 Saturday 14 March and Sunday 15 March, the Australian Chamber Orchestra will present a joyful family concert for primary-aged children filled with the brilliance, wit and warmth of Mozart, Haydn and their musical friends. The 30-minute concert introduces young listeners to different musical instruments and styles, followed by a hands-on creative play session and music-making activities. Attending quality concerts such as this, featuring professional musicians up close, is a wonderful way to inspire and energise your daughter as she progresses on her own journey playing a musical instrument.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aco.com.au\/whats-on\/2026\/family-day-mozart-and-friends\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Australian Chamber Orchestra Academy<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Applications are open for advanced secondary string players to apply to audition for Australian Chamber Orchestra Academy. ACO violinist Aiko Goto leads this project with secondary school aged string players from around Australia each year for an intensive week of orchestral rehearsals, instrumental sectionals and chamber music sessions.
