It has been great to see everyone returning to school and welcoming those that are new to our community. I hope that you all feel settled and secure as soon as possible. As you have heard from many other staff, I am always open for a chat about anything at all, whether it be school related or something beyond the green gate. My hope is that knowing you are part of this community means that you can be assured that we have time for you and an interest in whatever is going on.<\/p>\n

Harvest Festival<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Just a reminder that next week is Harvest Festival, an event in the Christian calendar which focuses on what we have and what we can give. If you could bring those items in this week it would help in our decorating of the chapel. Here is a list of items that we would be suitable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Microwave Rice<\/td>\nSugar<\/td>\nCereal<\/td>\nJam<\/td>\nMilo<\/td>\nPasta sauce<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Tin meats \u2013 braised steak, sausages & vegies<\/td>\nCoffee<\/td>\nSavoury biscuits<\/td>\nSmall bags of potato chips (children\u2019s lunches)<\/td>\nVegemite<\/td>\nCooking oil<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

I will be delivering these items personally at the beginning of week 4. I appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness in these difficult times.<\/p>\n

Monday Food Delivery Program: A great opportunity that the whole community can be involved in<\/strong><\/h4>\n

We continue to get new volunteers but there are still plenty of spaces to fill for this term. Each week during term time, 10-15 families or individuals cook enough food to distribute amongst the marginalised and underprivileged around Sydney.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For those that would like to take part, we use an app called SignUp and here is the link<\/a>. \u00a0The process is very straightforward and you will also find on the website a list of menu ideas, preparation requirements and other important information. If you have further questions, please email me here<\/a>. It has been a great activity for us as a school community to be involved in and well appreciated by our local community.\u00a0<\/p>\n
