The theme \u201cAll the beautiful things\u201d encouraged students to write pieces on a range of uplifting and inspiring topics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annabel Ling\u2019s<\/strong> (Year 6) poem \u201cTwo Children\u201d and <strong>Amelie Singer\u2019s<\/strong> (Year 10) work \u201cIcarus\u201d were both Highly Commended in the competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cynthia Cai\u2019s<\/strong> (Year 8) \u201cA Show of Beautiful Things\u201d and <strong>Zoe Lindner\u2019s<\/strong> (Year 12) \u201cGenerational\u201d both received Commendations.<\/p>\n<p>This is an impressive achievement and we congratulate each of them on their success in this national competition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jenny Bean<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Head of English<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are very proud of all the students who entered this year\u2019s Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Awards.
