Musicale 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Musicale 1 will be held on Wednesday 2 April <\/strong><\/em>in the SCEGGS Great Hall. The following ensembles are performing:<\/p>\n

Primary Ensembles:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Training Band, Bugles\u2019 Band, Primary Percussion Ensemble, Cantare, Sinfonietta, Chamber Strings and Primary String Octet.<\/p>\n

Secondary Ensembles:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Contemporary Vocal Ensemble (Years 7-10 only), Madrigal Ensemble (Years 7-10 only), Clarion Concert Band, Edwardes Percussion Ensemble, Cremona Strings<\/p>\n

Eisteddfod<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Our Annual SCEGGS Eisteddfod will be held this term with heats during Week 7 and two Highlights concerts at the end of Week 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
Primary Highlights Concert<\/td>\nFriday 21 March 4.30 – 5.30pm<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Practice-a-thon <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Earn stickers and a certificate for completing goals during the Practice-a-thon!<\/p>\n

This is a great way to prepare for the SCEGGS Eisteddfod.<\/p>\n

Practice record sheets are available from tutors.<\/p>\n

Try to follow the \u2018tip of the week\u2019 when you practise!<\/p>\n

This week\u2019s tip is \u201cSLOWLY DOES IT\u201d! Practise very slowly, progress very fast. The brain needs slow learning in order to create strong connections.<\/p>\n

SCEGGS Music students and staff were treated to a wonderful showcase of outstanding performances and compositions by students from schools across NSW from the 2024 HSC Music examinations at the Sydney Opera House this week. A wonderfully eclectic mix of music was on show- with instrumentalists, vocalists across all styles of music – giving insight and inspiration to the\u00a0 very appreciative audience.<\/p>\n

Theory Club \u2013 Primary<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Primary school is introducing a new opportunity for anyone keen to get ahead with their understanding of music.<\/p>\n

Pop into a theory help desk on Friday lunch from 1.00-1.20pm in the 5R classroom.<\/p>\n

Mr Massey, Mrs Cleworth and Mrs Sweeney will be there to help you.<\/p>\n

K-2 Assembly<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Congratulations to Abbie Yao in Year 1 for her entertaining performance of That\u2019s How it Goes <\/em>on the violin at the first K-2 Assembly for the year. Abbie practised regularly over the summer holidays and her performance was very well-received by the K-2 students and their parents at the Assembly<\/p>\n
