\u201c125 Years in 125 Days\u201d – We have just completed our sixth week of counting down our School\u2019s birthday!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After featuring SCEGGS girls out and about on excursions and field trips last week, this week we have focused on the wonderful classroom activities at SCEGGS, over the decades.\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We loved the primary classroom in 1985, showing a television, tape decks and maybe even a record player as teaching tools.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Year 12 English students had an exciting visit from the Sydney Swans players in 1986, to complement their study of The Club<\/em> by David Williams.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last week, our featured question regarding the excursion to the Warrumbungles elicited some mixed answers. According to the Archives, it took place in 1975, with the closest guess being 1976. There has also been some debate, on the Old Girls\u2019 Facebook page, about the identity of the students so we will keep you posted if we arrive at any definite conclusions!<\/p>\n

One of this week\u2019s photographs, from the Archives, shows video equipment being used in the classroom. SCEGGS was one of the very early adopters of this technology for teaching and learning.<\/p>\n
