On Thursday 23 May, the Primary School celebrated Outdoor Classroom Day. The Student Representatives enjoyed providing and facilitating a range of activities for all the girls to participate in, and support the initiative at lunch time, led by each year group\u2019s representatives. The girls were involved in making necklaces, dream catchers with wool and natural materials, rock painting to be displayed in the fairy garden, painting wooden coasters, making animals out of paper rolls, and painting material bags.<\/p>\n

Outdoor Classroom Day is an initiative supporting the evidence that learning outside of the classroom engages and excites children and is key to improving children\u2019s health, wellbeing and happiness, and is an essential part of their development.<\/p>\n

Some of the benefits of learning and playing outside include enhanced social and collaborative skills, better engagement with learning, and overall happiness.<\/p>\n
