It&#8217;s an initiative led by the SRC and an opportunity for SCEGGS families to donate fresh fruits and vegetables to a local charity called Rough Edges.<\/p>\n<p>Rough Edges is a program of St John&#8217;s Community Services that provides a space for people experiencing homelessness to find a community, connect with others, reach out for help, and share a meal. As a school, Rough Edges is important to us, as it cares for people in our local community of Kings Cross and Darlinghurst.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to help Rough Edges, students are asked to bring in fresh fruits or vegetables on Friday morning before school in Weeks 2, 3, 6, and 7 to the Jacaranda Gate or to the Cafeteria for it to be collected and taken to Rough Edges. It\u2019s an easy, small gesture, but one that is highly appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>We hope to see as many of you as possible dropping off your donation at the Jacaranda Gate or the Cafeteria on Fresh Fruit Friday!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The SRC<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fresh Fruit Friday is back!
