We are all part of a wonderful school with a vibrant and supportive community\u00a0and we wish you all the very best as you begin your\u00a0educational experience at SCEGGS Darlinghurst.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to communicate a couple of important aspects of the\u00a0Board\u2019s role and of the ownership structure of the School. It is\u00a0important to note at the outset that\u00a0the Board\u00a0does\u00a0not have a role in\u00a0the day-to-day running of the\u00a0School. We set the long-term strategic direction for the\u00a0School\u00a0and support the Head as she\u00a0executes the mission, vision and strategy of our School. We\u00a0acknowledge the importance of good governance in all our\u00a0undertakings and aim to provide broad, comprehensive and modern governance of the\u00a0School.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You can find out more information about the Board on the School\u00a0website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sceggs.nsw.edu.au\/about-us\/governance\/\">here<\/a>, which includes a list of all of our Board members.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0School\u00a0is owned and operated by SCEGGS Darlinghurst Limited,\u00a0a company limited by guarantee. All adults within the SCEGGS\u00a0community are eligible for membership, including parents, Old Girls,\u00a0staff,\u00a0friends\u00a0and benefactors.\u00a0The cost of membership is $100; your\u00a0membership will last for six years and can be made in the form of a\u00a0payment or donation. All members receive a copy of the Annual\u00a0Report and may vote at the AGM.\u00a0 Applications for membership are sent to every person who donates\u00a0to the SCEGGS Trust and to anyone who enquires about\u00a0membership.
