Congratulations to Claudia Quinn in Year 11 who has been selected into the Australian U17 Water Polo Squad to tour Europe in July.\u00a0 Claudia plays for the UTS Balmain Water Polo Club and our Senior 1st<\/sup> Water Polo team. We wish her well as she prepares for this amazing opportunity and experience.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Congratulations to Sophia Willis (Year 11) who has been nominated for Youth Volunteer of the Year in the Surf Life Saving Awards of Excellence.<\/p>\n In addition to her regular beach patrol duties as a member of Bronte SLSC, Sophia has been supporting the weekly Dippers Program, which provides modified Nippers events for children on the Autism spectrum, Swim for Ukraine which teaches surf safety skills to Ukrainian refugees and Rainbow Beaches supporting diversity and inclusion.<\/p>\n This is most impressive that Sophia has so generously given her time and effort to such worthy causes. We are all proud of you Sophia!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Thank you to so many students who supported the IGSA Pink Sock Round to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.<\/p>\n Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is Australia\u2019s leading breast cancer consumer organisation who work tirelessly to ensure that all Australians who are affected by breast cancer receive the very best care, treatment and support.<\/p>\n Many schools within IGSA have supported this initiative and it was terrific to see so many pink socks and laces around the grounds last Saturday.<\/p>\n Well done to the SCEGGS Cross Country Team who competed at the IGSA Cross Country Championships last Friday.
