Disney themed Musicale 1:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cantare<\/li>\n<li>Chamber Strings<\/li>\n<li>Choir<\/li>\n<li>Contemporary Strings<\/li>\n<li>Contemporary Vocal Ensemble (CVE)<\/li>\n<li>Clarion Band<\/li>\n<li>Glennie Percussion<\/li>\n<li>Madrigal Ensemble<\/li>\n<li>Primary Cello Ensemble<\/li>\n<li>Primary String Octet<\/li>\n<li>Primary Percussion Ensemble<\/li>\n<li>Primary Ukulele Ensemble<\/li>\n<li>Sinfonietta<\/li>\n<li>Stringalong<\/li>\n<li>Van Reyk Percussion<\/li>\n<li>Year 7 Choir<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Special congratulations to the Year 7 Choir who made their first performance this year singing <em>The Promise<\/em>, a work commissioned for the School\u2019s 125<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary, composed by Alice Chance and Georgiana Thomas Peddell.\u00a0 The Year 7 Choir also sang in the concert\u2019s finale item, selections from the movie <em>Brave, <\/em>composed by Mandel.\u00a0 The performance was accompanied by Contemporary Strings, the Van Reyk Percussion ensemble, Choir, Madrigal Ensemble and Cantare.\u00a0 It was a great evening with many of the recognised Disney melodies enjoyed by the packed audience!\u00a0 Many thanks to the Music staff and tutors who diligently prepared their ensembles for the concert.\u00a0 It was lovely to see the evening so well supported by parents, friends and teachers of the SCEGGS community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Bugles\u2019 Open Rehearsal Morning \u2013 Tuesday 4 April<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>It was wonderful to see the parents who were able to participate and share in the music performed by the students from Bugles Band.\u00a0 The rehearsal was directed by the band\u2019s conductor and Director of Bands, Mr Michael Tierney.\u00a0 The students played a variety of pieces that they have rehearsed throughout Term 1.\u00a0 We look forward to Bugles upcoming participation in the City of Sydney Eisteddfod in Term 2 Week 6.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Invitation for Interested String Players to apply for AUSTA String Festival 2023<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>An open invitation is extended to any interested String players who would like to participate in the 2023 AUSTA\u2019s (Australian Strings Association) String Festival on Sunday 21 May.\u00a0 The event is designed to invite young string players to play in a friendly, non-competitive and supportive environment.\u00a0 Players may perform either a solo piece or a work with an accompanist.\u00a0 For further information please visit <a
