Public Speaking

Congratulations to Daisy Carson (Year 10) and Jessica Gallie (Year 10) who both competed in the Plain English Speaking Award last week. It was one of the highest standard local finals I have ever attended and both girls spoke excellently in both their prepared an impromptu speeches. While they did not progress to the next round this time they both showed their considerable skill.

A reminder that on Wednesday May 21 Celia Watson (Year 12) will compete in the finals of the Dame Enid Lyons Oratory Competition at the Sydney Opera House.  Tickets are free but must be booked at the link below. It is a great opportunity to hear some thought provoking speeches and for girls who are interested in Public Speaking to see what is possible with work and practise.
