From the Primary School

Welcome to a new school year, everyone! I trust you all had a relaxing holiday filled with sunshine, family, and friends. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new girls and their families joining us this year. We hope you settle in smoothly at SCEGGS, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need support in the coming weeks.

This year, we are excited to welcome several new members to our Primary teaching team. You can find details about our new staff in Who’s Who contained in Ms Allum’s article in this week’s newsletter.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at our Parent Information Evenings in Weeks 2 and 3. These evenings are for all parents of girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. At these evenings you will hear from your daughters’ teachers about the classroom programs, the year’s activities, and how you can support your daughter’s learning at home. These sessions will take place in the girls’ assigned classrooms. Beforehand, we would love for you to join us for some casual drinks in the Primary Playground, a great opportunity to meet each other and to kick off the year with a positive start.

The Joan Freeman Carpark will be open for parking from 5.15 pm but will close promptly at 9.00pm. The entry of the car park is positioned on St Peters Street which can be accessed via Forbes Street.
