SCEGGS has had an outstanding ISDA season, and we commend all students for their dedication to Friday evening debates and Monday training sessions. Best of luck to our Octofinalists as they take on the next stage!
Last Friday 10 May, Eastside Debaters had their final in-round against Rose Bay Secondary College, and special congratulations go to our Year 8 team for their victory on the topic of Current Affairs. Finals qualifiers will be announced soon—stay tuned!
A huge thank you to all the timekeepers and chairpeople who have supported ISDA and Eastside debates throughout the season. Your contributions have been invaluable.
This week was the first round of the Archdale Competition against Wenona School where we started off the season strongly with many teams winning their debates which all goes well for the remainder of the competition.
With more students involved in SCEGGS Debating than ever before, it’s inspiring to see such enthusiasm and dedication. May we continue to foster the SCEGGS spirit by debating for many seasons to come!
