Results from the 2025 Student Wellbeing Survey
Every second year, we conduct a Student Wellbeing and Peer Relations Survey of all students from Year 4 to Year 12. The last iteration of this survey was conducted late last year, and we have received the results and data from IPSOS, our Market Research firm. In total, just over 700 questionnaires were completed anonymously by the students.
Why conduct this survey, anonymously and biennially?
We want to:
- listen directly to the voices of the students about their experiences with peers
- ask questions around mental health and wellbeing, school life and whether students enjoy being here and what concerns them about being a member of our school community and their life generally
- evaluate the implementation of our anti-bullying policy by asking a series of questions about bullying in the School
- evaluate which of our policies and activities have been most successful in making the School a safe place for our students
- Most importantly, understand what worries our students and how we can best support them to respond to the tricky parts of their lives.
What changes have happened in response to the previous survey results?
In 2025, we revised our anti-bullying policy, to make it more contemporary, accessible and comprehensive. You can access a copy of this on our website at any time. We have continued to strengthen our wellbeing programs to ensure that our students feel cared for and have a strong sense of belonging to the School community overall. We have also helped them to develop the skills to live a productive and flourishing life, knowing what is important and how to look after themselves and their friends. During 2024 and 2025, we also participated in an initiative run by the Association of Independent Schools, on a Whole-School Approach to student wellbeing, and made significant changes to our wellbeing programs as a result.

Transparency around these results is important to us. We have always reported the findings of this survey after each wave has been conducted – and we will continue to do so. We will also continue to refine our policies and procedures to try and keep bullying in the School to a minimum, and where it occurs, to deal with it appropriately.
IPSOS has administered the survey and analysed the results for us. Where possible, we have also compared our results against the Mission Australia Youth Survey, to benchmark our own results against community standards. An analysis of the results is available for all parents to access here, via the Parent Portal.
