Swimming
Congratulations to Georgia Cate Baker Wood (Year 11) who won a Bronze Medal at NSWCIS Swimming Championships in the 200m Breaststroke. Georgia also placed 5th in the 100m Breaststroke.
Georgia has also qualified for the 2025 Australian Swimming Trials in Adelaide in June. These trials are for selection into the Australian National Swim Team. We look forward to hearing more from these trials.
Surf Lifesaving
A belated shout out to Sofia White (Year 9) who competed at the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships, in Kirra Beach, QLD at the end of last term. Sofia represented North Bondi surf club and won Silver medals in the beach sprint events for the girl’s relay and mixed relays. Well done Sofia.
Hockey
Congratulations to Maddison Soulos (Year 8 ) who was called up in the IGSA U15 Hockey team due to an injury withdrawal. Maddie competed at the NSWCIS U15 Hockey Championships that were held at Moorebank Hockey Fields in both brilliant sunshine and torrential rain throughout the day. Maddie started her hockey journey at SCEGGS in Year 3! She then took up club hockey and has now progressed into the representative arena through persistence and hard work. We are very proud of her progress.
Also representing IGSA was Jess Weatherall in the IGSA U’19 team.
Jess can be seen below playing for Australia in her recent tour of Europe. Jess is currently preparing for the Australian U’18 Championships to be held in Perth in July.

Any cancellations or adjustments will be made in Clipboard and families will receive a notification or email when changes are made. Please ensure you have notifications enabled.
All Clipboard notifications will now come through the SCEGGS Mobile App too, so if you have been receiving notifications from Clipboard (eg when sport is cancelled due to wet weather), you will need to download the SCEGGS Mobile App to ensure that you continue to receive these push notifications.
