Cuts for Cancer
This year, Year 12 are looking forward to continuing the SCEGGS tradition of supporting the Leukaemia Foundation through participating in the World’s Greatest Shave. On Friday, 10 May, Year 12 will be cutting their hair to support patients, carers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and specialists. The hair cut and money raised will be donated to the Leukaemia Foundation, and the Year 12 cohort enthusiastically embrace the opportunity to contribute to their remarkable work. We deeply respect the significance of the Foundation and acknowledge the invaluable assistance they provide for patients and their families. Longer pieces of hair will be donated and used to make wigs for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Shorter hair will be used to mop up oil spills.
We invite the entire SCEGGS community to join us in this charity initiative. Your support through donations will enable us to reach our fundraising goal, and to make a difference in the lives of those affected by blood cancer.
