Last weekend I attempted to decorate the front of my house with Christmas light. For the record, I’m not that guy.

As someone who believes the good news about Jesus, and who trusts in Him as my king, I have even more reason to be content.

What do you do with disappointment? It will happen. The question is how will we respond?

As a Christian, I was struck by something more than Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II great service and commitment. Her Christian faith and life (imperfect as it was), is a reminder of the importance of recognising and submitting to Jesus’ kingship and rule, rather than becoming infatuated with our own.

I do want them to understand that when they have the promise of God’s love, and ultimate victory over all evil then they can approach all life’s challenges without unnecessary fear, and with great hope. The good news about Jesus changes everything.

Seinfeld fans might well remember the episode in which George Costanza’s father established an event called the ‘Festivus for the Rest of Us’ – a Jewish alternative to Christmas.

Again, if you’re curious about Jesus, then why not come along for our 3-session ‘Hope Explored’ series running in early Term 3?

For some time, we’ve wanted to make a space in which parents and friends of our College community could find out more about the Christian faith, and what we teach our students about faith. The exciting news is that it’s happening!

It’s as though Jesus wanted to make something loud and clear: that he came to bring joy, not sadness. That those who put their faith in him would experience a life of true spiritual riches, not just rules. Jesus the winemaker; the joy-bringer.

How do we face a troubled word? What stance do we equip our students with? This promise: for those who know God, he is our refuge. And when fears surround you, be still. And know that He is God.

#LiveYourBest Life. It’s such a good hashtag, that maybe I shouldn’t ask what it means. But curiosity got the better of me recently!

May this year be a year in which you find hope, joy and the new start and quenching water that Jesus offers.

May the joy of the birth of the baby that came to be our rescuer - Jesus - warm your heart.

I need someone in my boat who is in control. Someone who has control. Jesus offers to be that person.

I was surprised when I saw ‘The Chosen’ - given that we’re all desperately searching for the next thing to watch on TV, I thought I’d do a quick review!
