Thank you to our wonderful Pymble Parent Association (PPA) for treating our staff to lunch today to celebrate World Teachers’ Day.
We’ve had an incredible few weeks in the Junior School, filled with creativity, innovation, and community connection. Our young musicians impressed at the 2025 Ensemble Concert, and Year 6 girls showcased entrepreneurial flair through Spark Lab, pitching their own product ideas to a panel of “Sharks.” We celebrated Maggie Wang’s National Portrait Gallery success, welcomed grandparents to share in a special day of storytelling, and cheered on our robotics teams as they achieved remarkable results across six competitions. Applications are now open for the 2026 Formula Goblin team, and we thank our parents for their continued support through the JSPG and classroom volunteering.
We’ve had a purposeful and energetic start to Term 4 in Middle School as Year 8 girls prepare for next week’s assessment block and Year 7 looks forward to their Mind Body Spirit Day at Long Reef. We were incredibly proud of the students who presented their independent research as part of the Sokratis Program, exploring topics from brain-computer connections to the emotional impact of Japanese manga. Congratulations also to our Year 7 Transition Leaders, whose enthusiasm and warmth helped ensure Links Day was such a positive and welcoming experience for our future Pymble girls.
We were thrilled to welcome our Year 7 2026 Boarders for the inaugural ‘Double Header’ event, where the girls explored Sydney with their Big Sisters and families before settling into Avonmoore for their first overnight stay. Our Boarding community also enjoyed Friday night Balmoral Picnics, the Trick for Treat event with Abbotsleigh and Knox, and plenty of time to relax and connect on campus. This week’s View from My Window features Katelyn in Year 12, who shares her vibrant life in Hong Kong, and we celebrate Edwina from Marden House as our well-deserving Boarder of the Week.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 10 girls, who have approached their first formal examination period with focus and determination. As they prepare to transition into Senior School, this experience has given them valuable opportunities to reflect, grow and build confidence in their learning. We also celebrated connection and compassion through the St Edmund’s Day visit to Vision Valley, where students shared meaningful experiences of inclusion and teamwork. Congratulations to all students recognised in this week’s shoutouts for their achievements across academics, sport, service and the arts - a wonderful reflection of the talent and spirit within our Upper School community.
We continue to wish our Year 12 students every success as they complete their HSC examinations, and look forward to celebrating their achievements at our Gradu-bration event in December. The Have A Go Expo was a wonderful showcase of initiative and connection, with our new Year 12 students leading with energy and creativity across a range of activities. This week, we’ve also been reflecting on the importance of broad and supportive friendships in shaping both wellbeing and academic success. Encouraging our girls to build open, trusting and diverse friendships helps strengthen confidence, motivation and belonging - key foundations for thriving in Senior School and beyond.
We are so proud of our Year 11 students who travelled to the Northern Territory during the holidays to teach children from Milingimbi Island to swim.
On Friday 7 November, the College will honour the achievements of our talented and dedicated sportswomen in Years 7 to 12 who have achieved great success and demonstrated outstanding commitment to their sports throughout 2025.
Make sure you save the dates of all the important events happening at the College in Term 3 and 4.
