2025 NSW Short Course Preparation Meet

On the weekend of Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May, eleven talented swimmers from Pymble Ladies’ College took part in the 2025 NSW Short Course Preparation Meet, held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. This event, organized by Swimming NSW, serves as a crucial stepping stone for athletes aiming to qualify for the upcoming Metropolitan and State Championships.

The meet provided an excellent platform for our swimmers to gain valuable race experience, test their skills against a competitive field, and achieve qualifying times for future high-level competitions. It was an exciting and rewarding weekend, with many of our athletes achieving new personal bests and a few securing new state qualifying times.

  • Vera Le (Year 5) achieved a state qualifying time in the 100m Butterfly
  • Isabella Wang (Year 6) secured a state qualifying time in the 50m Freestyle
  • Sophia Li (Year 7) attained state qualifying times in multiple events, including the 50m Butterfly, 100m Freestyle, and 200m Freestyle

All participating swimmers demonstrated remarkable dedication and sportsmanship. Their performances reflect the hard work and commitment they have invested in their training.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the girls for their outstanding efforts and achievements; Sophia Li (Year 7), Ludovica Iacovelli (Year 8), Georgia Friedel (Year 8), Mao Jade (Year 8), Penelope Hargraves (Year 8), Vera Le (Year 5), Charlotte Yim (Year 6), Rose Harrington (Year 7), Puisai Victoria Ko (Year 7), Priscilla Miller (Year 7), and Isabella Wang (Year 6).

A special thank you goes to our dedicated coaches, Nicola and Sara, whose guidance and support were instrumental in preparing the swimmers for this competition. We also express our gratitude to the parents for their unwavering encouragement and support throughout the weekend.
