2025 Australian Age and MC Championship and Australian Open Championship
From Thursday 10 April to Friday 18 April, 18 of our Pymble girls took part in the 2025 Australian Age and MC Age Championships, followed by the 2025 Australian Open Championships from Monday 21 April to Thursday 24 April.
This competition is one of the most exciting and competitive meets of the year, giving our swimmers the chance to race against the fastest swimmers in Australia. This year, Pymble proudly secured two spots in the state relay team, with two of our very own swimmers representing New South Wales against the other states!
The meet was filled with energy, team spirit, and many personal bests, as well as a host of top ten finishes — including a total of six medals:
- Alyssa Gillespie (Year 11): Bronze medal in the 100m Backstroke at the Australian Age and MC Championships. She also delivered an outstanding performance at the Australian Open Championships with a total of eight top 10 finishes in individual events.
- Caitlyn Keating (Year 10): Gold medal in the mixed 14 to 15 Years 4x50m Medley State Relay, swimming the butterfly leg for NSW, and two silver medals in the 14 Years 100m Butterfly and 50m Butterfly.
- Alexis Whitton (Year 8): Silver medal in the 13 to 14 Years 4x50m Freestyle State Relay, proudly representing NSW.
- Emma Ng (Year 9): Bronze medal in the 14 Years 200m Butterfly
The spirit was high throughout the week, with the girls having lots of fun supporting each other during the competition.
We are also thrilled to announce that the Knox Pymble Swim Club (KPSC) won the combined multi class and able-bodied club point score, an outstanding achievement after many years!
