VEX State Championships
We were thrilled to have six VEX IQ Elementary School teams and five VEX V5 Middle School teams representing Pymble at the recent VEX State Championships. It was a day filled with excitement and a full range of emotions; our students were thrilled just to be there, felt nervous and focused as they worked hard to perform their best, and experienced stress when things didn’t go as planned.
There were moments of relief, celebration, and some frustration, but above all, perseverance as our teams kept pushing until the end. Some teams faced setbacks and couldn’t perform their best due to various challenges, but they never stopped giving their all.
What stood out the most was the Pymble spirit, with students supporting and cheering for one another every step of the way. We couldn’t be prouder of their resilience, teamwork, and determination. A special thanks to all the volunteers including the Pymble students and staff, making the event run smoothly for everyone.
Our teams achieved some incredible results:
VEX IQ Highlights:
- Team 6510U Velocity placed fourth in Robot Skills out of 30 teams, won the third Place Teamwork Award, and received the Build Award.
- Team 6510V earned the fifth Place Teamwork Award and the Amaze Award.
Both teams have qualified for the National Championships, congratulations!
VEX V5 Highlights:
All VEX V5 Pymble teams advanced to the playoffs, with Team 65100S Shark Attack and Team 65100N Nailed It reaching the quarterfinals, and Team 65100R making it to the semifinals before falling to the eventual champions. Team 65100S also earned the Build Award and secured their spot at nationals, and team 65100F Dunkin Donuts won the Judges Award. Well done!
We are immensely proud of all our Pymble teams. Congratulations on your achievements and the inspiring effort you put into this journey.
